TRACE – St. Albans site specific dance piece.

TRACE is a site specific project which explores how architecture and a sense of place hold traces of people who have lived there. I have created a dance informed by the stories and memories of the local people on and around Sopwell Lane, St. Albans. 

The project is funded by a Dance in Herts artists bursary. Dance in Herts is a part of Essexdance. TRACE will be performed on November 8th 2007.

I particularly wanted to collaborate with artists from other art forms for this project. I’m working with Andy Hamer - scenographer, Hanjorg Schmitt - lighting artist , Illur - scenic architect as well as Angeline Conaghan - musician.
