Technical information. 

Piece length: 17’:10” 

Stage 

• Black dance floor• Full, flat blacks US• Ballet style side masking 

Set 

The company provide a simple set that consists of two self-standing poles, severalmetres of translucent cloth and some fishing line.• The set is stretched diagonally from USR to DSL, in its first position.• A CS pick up point is needed and this is what the fishing line is for.• During the piece the DSL post is moved variously to provide its 2nd and 3rdpositions. The performers do this. 

Lighting 

Please refer to the generic lx plan at the end of this document.The lighting design is very simple and consists of:• 2x Blonde TV beam lights, OW [2k Fresnels/PC would do, as would 1k Floods]• 1x 1k Flood, lee 225&026• 6x 2k Fresnels, OW [or PCs]• 2x 50 degree profiles, OW 

Focus notes: 

• The blondes should be rigged as far back in the house as possible. Theycreate a ‘neutral’ look and should light up as much of the house as possible.They light all of the stage. Cross them over for maximum coverage.• The flood on the floor DSR should be kept of the nearest legs. It then lights thefull length of the set, when in its 1st position. It can light the floor and shouldn’tneed to be cut at all left, right or above.• The two profiles provide 2x 500mm wide corridors [refer to the focus diagrambelow]. They need to light up to head-height all the way to the side maskingso that the dancers are lit as soon as they step on stage.• The 2k Fresnels provide an even, standard backlight, covering the wholestage. Barndoor off the full blacks at the rear and out of audience’s eyes. Theydo not need to be cut to the legs at the side, however. You can reduce to 1row, if kit is limited. In smaller houses, these can be 1kW units. 

Video 

The show uses two video projectors. [Please contact the company with regard to allenquiries over the specific equipment used.]• They need to be fed by a DVD player and a camera. Both take identicalfeeds.• The projectors are initially sited USR and USL. The unit USL is moved, during thepiece, to CS so cables should be provided to allow this.• A vision mixer is helpful but not essential in switching from DVD to camerafeeds as well as providing a black source, once the camera is done with. 

Sound 

All sound comes from the DVD, so the player needs to be hooked up to the house PA.The DVD plays, without stops, from beginning to end.
